As with many of these minor labels Impact was based in Sydney. They did a bit better than some of their brethren in that they reached the serial number IMA025.
Their best known record is perhaps Disco Lady, an album of disco hits by female performers released in 1979/80. Local talent was provided by Debbie Newsome and Victoria Nicholls (who had a K-tel album all to herself and went on to do TV hosting.)
Licensed material came from Dionne Warwick, Tom Jones, Charlie Pride, Judy Garland, and Dusty Springfield. There were a fair few Various Artists releases, so we’ll keep an eye out.
